2: MTL was a tad odd. Raw: 花蝶舞觉得大概是因为少女长得太漂亮了，毕竟她一直是只怜香惜玉的狐狸精。

3: She uses 本宫 (ben gong) here, which is a royal “I” reserved for members of royalty or high ranking consorts. Su Luoyan in this arc is a favored concubine. Italicized “I”s henceforth will refer to this or related honorifics. (And normal “I”s are 我)

4: Su Luoyan here is referred to as 娘娘, which means empress or concubine (concubine for her). The slight change is intentional.

5: 嗯嗯. Basically a grunt/sound of agreement. Probably doesn’t need a footnote.

6: The system says 妖王 (lit. demon king), but he’s most likely talking about the main system.

7: Probably another unnecessary footnote. Xiao (小) means “little”, and putting it before a name turns it into a familiar address.

As a side note, I read Chinese as well as a preschooler and can speak Chinese with the fluency of a third grader’s speech, but since I succumbed to my 3 am whims, I’m here translating random shit 🙂
